Susan G. Komen ‘Race for the Cure’ Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, October 16

On October 16th, Bayfront Park will serve as the staging ground for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The race celebrates a 15 year milestone and aims to raise Breast Cancer awareness as well as funds for finding a cure. It began with only a few hundred runners and the organization hope’s to break last year’s record of 20,000 runners! Since it’s inception in 1982, The Susan G. Komen foundation has raised $1 Billion 300 Million in generous donations and invested these funds in breast cancer research and community outreach.
If you are interested in participating, you can register in-person tomorrow, receive a race packet and t-shirt at:
Publix Supermarket, 9105. S. Dadeland Blvd, Miami, Florida, between the hours of 12 – 9 p.m. There is a $25 registration fee.
