Miami’s is BUZZING!  It seems another dose of ‘REALITY’ looms on the horizon for the magic city!  Executive Producer Marivi Rodriguez and Irreplaceable Group are in the pre-production phase of a brand new  series.    The new show, tentatively titled ‘Banana Republic’, will offer an ecletic cast and a premise that goes beyond just the glitz, glamour, high-life and beautiful people of Miami.   Producers tell me the show will have a unique and fresh format, offering more audience engagement and somewhat of a fusion where ‘REALITY’ meets ‘SOAP’.   Says Marivi Rodriguez, “our show is a never before seen concept in American television”.  Details are sketchy, but be sure to stay tuned!   Priority auditions for facebook members of the program’s page were just concluded yesterday.  However, open casting dates will be announced very soon!   All walks of life, all demographics, all ages and all sexes are welcome to audition.

The world’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS Fundraiser, White Party WEEK Miami,   is just around the corner. Get set to party between November 24-29, 2010 , as various venues across South Florida host a wide array of events, in support of Care Resource. The Crown Jewel event, of course, the evening at beautiful Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, where thousands flock, dressed in white, bayside under the moon and stars of the Magic City.

Ready, set, FASHION!  Get ready to STRUT your STUFF, this coming October 7,  poolside at WET between 7 – 10 p.m., where the W South Beach Hotel will serve host to the 1st Annual MIAMI STYLE AWARDS.  Proceeds from the  event, co-hosted by Julian Chang and Beth Sobol, will benefit student scholarships of the MIAMI INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK FOUNDATION.  Some of Miami’s greatest “FASHIONISTAS” will be honored, including Lisa Pliner, Lea Black and Lauren Ridinger, among many others.  Expect many surprises, delicious de-LITES by Solea’, an informal fashion show,  bubbly, and off-the WALL entertainment, including a live concert by Albita.   Celebrity DIVA, Elaine Lancaster, will serve as emcee.  Tickets are $75 ($50 of which are TAX DEDUCTIBLE) and may be purchased at www.miamifashionweek.com.
